The storm brews out of the midnight black sky, with no peaceful lucidity in sight. The entire known universe is covered with the storm and there’s no way out, neither up or down. Then out of the blue, out of the thin nothingness that envelopes this realm, rest finally emerges. I lie down on the ashen pavement and close my eyes and plug my ears. For a moment, I’m doused in serenity. The sudden departure may be beyond understanding, but I will reach towards it just like an infant who crawls into its mother’s arms.
